In the POS for retail grocery store or supermarket, it is common practice to use scale to weight for fresh vegetables, poultry, seafood, etc.
Unfortunately, Most of the scale devices dont have any API for integration.
In this case, another alternative is to use the scale barcode to print the product information.
The following is the example scale barcode format.
<6 digit - Product Code><5 digit - Weight><6 digit - Price><4 digit - Running No>
Operator will update the product price in the scale directly and therefore latest price will be reflected immediately in the barcode.
Odoo POS must be customize to support the reading of barcode and populate in the shopping cart.
